Product availability queries
You can imagine that the most common question is ‘where can I buy my favorite Lipton tea?’, and you can help the customer find what they’re looking for.
Use the Lipton website, as it has a handy tool where you can select a store to purchase directly. The link is www.lipton.com/us/en/store_locator.html and it will locate stores with availability near you. Always try to do the search for the customer and be extra helpful.
We can also advise the customer to speak with their store manager and ask to order it in.
If someone is looking for their favorite product but it’s no longer on the website, it’s likely that it has been discontinued. You can confirm that Lipton does not hold any extra product to sell or any further information regarding future availability.
As Ambassadors for Lipton, you can only answer queries about products within the U.S and cannot say where exactly to buy outside of the U.S.
Samples and Coupon Requests
Sometimes customers will get in touch asking for free samples or coupons to try the brand’s products.
Lipton only produces samples and coupons of products for specific marketing activities and so it is best to advise customers to follow the brand on social media so they will be notified when and where samples will be available.

When people ask the brand to sponsor their charity or get involved with an organization, you need to use the sponsorship or charity request template in the Knowledge library in the app. That explains Unilever’s 'BrightFuture Plan' which sets out to help a billion people improve their health and well-being by 2020. These activities do mean that unfortunately, we are unable to support the very many other charities and good causes that contact us each year.
General ingredient information
There is some generic ingredient information for certain products that you are able to answer. Please refer to the Knowledge Library in the app, for the appropriate templates.
Make sure you use SmartLabel, which is a super handy tool available on Unilever websites. SmartLabel is a program created by manufacturers and retailers, which enables customers to get additional details about products by scanning a bar code or doing an online search to get information on ingredients and other attributes of a wide range of products.
SmartLabel holds all the information you want to know about the products you are purchasing. It is designed so that customers can easily have access to a wide variety of information but can hone in on a question they have on an ingredient or product in just one or two clicks. The SmartLabel functionality is available on the Lipton website - use it to search for specific product information.
General promotional queries
On occasions Lipton has promotions available to customers, these vary depending on the marketing activity at the time. All information regarding the promotion(s) currently happening will be on the Knowledge Library for you to view and see if you can help the customer out.
